Essay: Effective Teachers
This essay is about how teachers can be more effective in classes. The student should be made to feel at ease so that a bond is created and each child including him or her feels that they can approach the teacher whenever they feel like it even if it may be something trivial.
For a teacher to be effective in drawing out a child he or she has to be pleasant and open with the students dressing in such a way that there is no sloppiness visible as that may indicate an air of carelessness about the teacher, conversely if the teacher is too aloof or dresses primly the students may not be able to relate with her.
As for a student who is having difficulty adjusting in the class and also is not motivated verbal encouragement is necessary the teacher should address him in such a way so that he or she doesn’t seem to stand out, his or her opinion should be sought out and the teacher should try to draw out the student so that he or she doesn’t feel that they are not part of the class. And even small effort on his or her part should praised with words like “Great Job” or “Terrific”.
The student should be made to feel at ease so that a bond is created and each child including him or her feels that they can approach the teacher whenever they feel like it even if it may be something trivial. Instead of being judgmental or stern the teacher has to be encouraging and have an empathy which would make the association much more natural.
