Essay: Use of Swirls on Web Pages
Many of my classmates loved the use of swirls in my pages. However, some suggested that even though they seemed attractive, they were so many and needed to be reduced. They made the page look exaggerated. I had to reduce them to make the users target the content of the site and more so the products offered rather than the motion created by the swirls. I know that the swirls make the site seem like it is in motion making it lively. They add modern feminine qualities and visual interest. However, exaggeration brings in confusion and distraction.
I have also redesigned the website to have the swirls on the images rather than on the background. This has been a good move as it softens the framework’s straight lines in the site making it very attractive. Reducing the swirls makes the contents in the inner pages readable.
