This essay discusses harmful effects of global warming. 20,000 years ago, ice sheets were stretched from the state of New York to Wisconsin’s Great Lakes, going all the way up to Canada. This was during the glacial period which occurred most recently (Schneider). Back then, the domes of ice had a lot of fresh water in them which made the oceans look much smaller and they were much lower than what they are today.

The huge increase in climate not only affected the earth’s temperature, it also affected the earth’s atmosphere and the water cycles. Even now, the Earth is continuously getting warm.

Al Gore, the US senator stated that the Earth is like a small pale dot. He believes that everything which the world has seen take place in history has happened on a small pixel. This includes all the wars, famines and tragedies which the earth has faced.
