This essay discusses the rights of homosexuals. One night, while two men are peacefully walking down a street, they decide to kiss each other in the open. Some people think this to be weird whereas others think it to be disgusting. Some on the other hand get angry at it. What these men did, would it be considered wrong?

One night, while two men are peacefully walking down a street, they decide to kiss each other in the open. Some people think this to be weird whereas others think it to be disgusting. Should they be punished for what they did or left alone as everyone is entitled to their own rights?  The issue of gays having their rights is a very difficult one in the United States. There are many problems associated with gay rights and there are pros and cons of the problem.

There are many problems associated with the issue of gay rights which is why finding a common ground can be difficult. Not only do people fight on this issue with words, they use physical ways as well. Throughout America, many gays have been beaten up. One such instance took place on the 17th of November, 2001. Police stated that the 42 year old man from Vancouver had injuries which suggested that he had been beaten with a baseball bat. They believed that the man had fallen prey to a hate crime (HateWatcg.org).

Despite hate crimes having reduced over the past years, a poll indicated that four out of at least 10 gays were still afraid of violence against them. 32% had even said that they had suffered physical violence due to their sexuality (HateWatch.org). Being a homosexual is against the morals and beliefs which Christian churches have. The bible states that…
