This essay discusses social learning. In the discipline of psychology, there are many theories which exist which give explanations about humans. A learning theory is one which tries to explain how animals and people are able to learn.
In the discipline of psychology, there are many theories which exist which give explanations about humans. A learning theory is one which tries to explain how animals and people are able to learn. Social learning theory is a theory which explains how humans and animals learn in a social setting. According to Albert Bandura theory, there are 3 concepts in the social learning theory; observational learning, imitation and modeling. There are many factors which affect how people think and behave. People learn not only by doing things but by observing others as well. Observational learning occurs when we observe others and try to imitate them. This theory was first introduced by the psychologist Bandura as he didn’t agree fully with the concepts of classical and operat conditioning. The social learning theory does not limit its application to a certain group of people or to any type of setting (Bandura).
