Smoking is considered harmful for the smoker as well as to the people around him (Robin McKie). Even though smokers are in a difficult position and those around them are in an even worse position, there are precautions which can be taken to reduce the problems which smoking causes. This would then reduce the risk of non-smokers developing cancer and diseases related to smoking.
