This is a sample term paper that discusses community psychology. Community psychology is an extensive field of psychology. It is the study of relationships between individuals amongst the community to which they belong. It also studies the relationship which exists between the individuals in relation to the whole community, and the relationship which exists between a particular community and a certain society as a whole.
Community psychology is an extensive field of psychology. It is the study of relationships between individuals amongst the community to which they belong. When carrying out research for community psychology, psychologists often study other related fields such as sociology, political sciences, social psychology and public policy. The main aim of community psychology is to improve the quality of life of people in any particular community/society. This could include identifying and fixing those types of problems which exist in a community which can lead to further health problems and affect many individuals.
Clinical psychology is very similar to community psychology. This is because both fields of psychology attempt at locating and then treating any metal health problems if these exist. Community psychology is the type which benefits people in the community as it resembles public health services. It tries to eradicate problems which affect or can affect the community as a whole rather than focusing on individual problems. Community psychology tends to focus more toward mental health issues. This is because psychologists found out that a mental issue cannot be treated by knowing only the individuals history. This field of psychology is different from others as it does not only focus on research; it actually aims at doing something.
The amalgamation of practical and theoretical psychology is a very important part of community psychology. In comparison to other fields, community psychology strongly focuses on making final decisions and conclusions from interpretation and whirling those conclusions into answers for various problems which very much exist in many communities.
