He is correct. In my view, the use of technology has to be monitored and used with restraint so that it does not interfere with the academic side of the learning process. In addition, the intrusion of the corporations is not a very encouraging event. As with everything else their involvement in the administration of the educational process will lead to making the colleges and universities a profit making product rather than a source of knowledge to be imparted to the students to help them become successful as well as instilling in them the values that make them better human beings. The human values and ideals need to be present for people to function in society. However, if the human side of education is taken out of the equation we get a society full of technology driven individuals who are isolated in their lives.
