That some people start off life in an easier situation than others is loathed by egalitarianism. So is the fact that some people have nurturing families, while others do not.

From equality of prospect, to equality of results, it always has a single result. Those that have achieved ideals must sacrifice them to those that do not. Egalitarianism evident as revulsion of those that are thriving or that have managed to achieve status. Those that have achieved values are despised. It is not troubled with the welfare of individuals. It only cares that everybody is in the same place, even if that situation is starved and helpless. It asks for the destruction of value so that all can be equal.
