This essay is on the history of telegraph. While the telegraph was mostly used for sending different messages, other additional universal uses were also developed. As lines increased throughout the country, the telegraph was accepted as perfect for quickly assembling and dispersing news.

It also became universal to run unusual telegraph lines to key sporting events, so news correspondents could get up to date reports. A significant modernization occurred beginning in the late 1840s, when Great Britain used telegraph lines to started uniform time throughout the country. The information collected by journalists was usually made available only to members. Though, the introduction of printing telegraphs or “tickers” which printed letters and numbers on paper tape also made it possible to distribute news and information directly to paying customers. Since the very beginning the main objective in telegraphy has been to reduce the cost per message by minimizing hand-work, or increasing the sending rate. There were many tests with pointers, and various electrical programming. The telegraph was tremendously successful in helping written communications on an in one direction plan. The telegraph was not just the fundamental electrical communications means: it was in reality the first convenient appliance of electricity in any type, much before the electric bulb.

The practical use of electricity in form of telegraph led to miracles: the instant long-distance communication of idea.  In the area of human communication, it is a creation similar to the evolution of speech and written words.  Thus telegraph proved to be a communication revolution not only in the 19^th century but led to breakthroughs which were not possible without the original invention and use of the electrical telegraph.
