This essay is about internet censorship. Most people believe that the internet is something which will provide people with freedom. Many generations will be able to achieve a sense of freedom due to the advent and increase in the use of the internet.
Most people believe that the internet is something which will provide people with freedom. Many generations will be able to achieve a sense of freedom due to the advent and increase in the use of the internet. People whose lives up till now were restricted due to the government and its paradigm would be free from any type of creed, race or color discrimination. The internet is seen to have become a way by which people have gained emancipation.
The internet has started to receive a lot of complaints as far as censorship issues are concerned. Singapore has been one of the countries which wants censorship over the internet and has been fighting for it for a long time. But despite the efforts being made by Singapore, the internet has still been able to keep people informed on every topic possible.
Internet is a new form of technology and it is against censorship. This is because of the characteristics it contains; the characteristics being that of convergence, globalization and explosion of information (Kolko).
