This is a research paper on Iraq’s invasion. Iraq has a culture and history that dates back to 10,000 B.C. where one of the earliest civilizations was born. From then on Iraq has seen many civilizations come and go, as different empires ruled it. Its importance has been due to its strategic location in Middle East, and also because of the two rivers flowing through it that made it particularly attractive to invaders and empires.
Research
The sample size for this research was relatively small, but since it asked some detailed questions, it was more like an interview. The total number of respondents were 10, 6 interviewees were men and four of them were women. No specific age was targeted, however the breakdown of these people was like 2 were in the 20-30 age group. 5 were in 35-45 age group and 3 were in 50-60 + age group. Two women were employed, one was a housewife and one was a student. Three men were unemployed one was a businessman with a chain of Laundromats, although he was an American national but was born in Korea. Two were employed. 3 women and 3 men were white, whereas two men and a woman were African American, and one interviewee was Korean.
Background

However the occurrences in the past century also made Iraq a pawn in the hands of the British after the first world war. The creation of the British Mandate in Iraq was officially confirmed at the Allied governments conference in San Remo, Full independence of Iraq was not achieved until 1932. A coup brought the Bath party in 1968 to power. The Ba’thist espoused secular Arab nationalism, economic modernization. Sadam Hussein became the president of Iraq in 1979 and remained in that position till 2003, when he was removed from power by the American forces.
