In early February, the states which surrounded the great lakes were affected by the lake effect of snow storms in the northeastern area. Certain areas experienced snow up to 4 feet. The states which experienced this amount of snow is however used to the lake effect snow storms however many years had passed by since they had seen a snow storm of such a high magnitude.
