The reason behind women using diet pills in the United States of America is because of their thinking that being thin is ideal. If the use and abuse of these diet pills continues and if women continue to remain unaware of the dangers associated with these pills, the rate of illnesses and deaths is also likely to increase. In the year 1997, 17 people died due to using diet pills (Cohen). People in the medical profession have also stated that many people have died due to some connection to weight loss pills. A regulation of substances such as epinephrine and caffeine can help ease the usage of diet pills amongst women. Without having such laws and regulations, the advertisements of drugs will continue to attract women to take these pills and harm their bodies for useless purposes.
