This essay is about non-verbal communication. Communication exists in various forms. One of the ways in which people communicate is through non-verbal communication. This form of communication consists of people conveying messages and information to one another without actually saying anything.

This form of communication consists of people conveying messages and information to one another without actually saying anything. Sometimes non verbal communication is intentional; if so people make use of certain social cues in order to let the other person understand what they are trying to say. At other times however, this form of communication may be carried out unconsciously.
The most common form of non verbal communication consists of body language, the expressions which people have on their face which make up facial cues, the way in which a person is groomed and any hand gestures which they may carry out. These are only some of the ways in which people can communicate with one another non verbally. Since most of these gestures can be understood by everyone, non-verbal communication can be seen as a type of communication which is not personal.
Apart from the gestures which people make use of in order to communicate, there are other ways in which people can communicate non-verbally. One such way includes writing. Many people are aware of the fact that non-verbal communication means communicating without saying anything and without making use of many words. This is why writing can definitely be seen as a form of non-verbal communication; the writer is conveying messages and information to the writer without actually speaking to him/her.
Non-verbal communication is seen as a universal way in which communication is carried out. However the way in which people communicate non-verbally may depend on the culture and society to which they belong.
