Traditional testing methods have been used for a long time. But what is the biggest issue concerning these methods? The education system has been making use of these methods for many years and has not encountered a problem with them up until quite recently. The issues have arisen only recently due to the country having become more aware of the needs of the students and individuals.
It was due to the compassion of the citizens of the country that the No Child Left Behind Act of 2002 was able to raise generous amounts of money. This act was started by President Bush and he was praised for the efforts which he made.
Even though this act is not perfect and could use improvement, it shows that parents, teachers as well as students want changes and reforms to take place within the education system. The number of parents calling and complaining about the exams which their children have to take is increasing and this is something which causes concern (Report).
The act which was developed only recently accepts the fact that every student is different and if learning and teaching is to occur in a non-discriminatory way, there is a need for adjustments.
