Although some may regard this treed as a negative influence on sport and too much of commercialization, however the Network executives believe that without the funding from television, many sporting programs would not survive. To oblige television, sports have had to alter timetables, the speed of games, and the locality. Professional baseball is now played in the evening mostly under artificial lights, this is much different from the day time matches. Similarly Football, hockey and Basketball give time outs for commercials.
