Our typical viewer would be a woman who stays at home and enjoys watching television, during the time when she is alone at home. Mothers with young children don’t come in this category it women with older children or middle-aged women who work part time, generally from middle class.

Since soap operas appeal to the emotions with their unending stories and melodrama, with high degree of entertainment value and audience involvement, that is why the targeted audience is predominantly female.

7. Which network will you approach with your proposed television show? Why did

you choose that network? If the first network turns you down, which network

will you approach next? Why will that be your second approach?

The first choice would be CBS as it is the most popular, if we don’t get accepted there we would then go for ABC, as ABC comes in second in my view.
