This essay discusses vigorous exercise. Many people exercise daily in order to keep fit. Vigorous exercise is however exercise which causes a person’s heart rate to rise and this leads to heavy and deep breaths. Vigorous exercise is related to 3 main things of the body; the type of the body, the heart rate and the fitness level a person can reach.

There is a way in which we can figure out whether or not a person is carrying out vigorous exercise. This is done by the talk test.  By determining the level and intensity with which a person is speaking, a person’s activity level can be determined. This test is carried out particularly during exercise. If the person being tested is able to speak for a long time without any trouble, he/she has been carrying out exercise at a moderate level. If however the person can only speak a little bit and has trouble talking results in the person having carried out vigorous exercise.

The type of body a person has along with the level of fitness they can bear all play a part in how severe an exercise they can carry out. For a person who is not used to exercising much may find walking uphill hard whereas a person who exercises regularly might be able to do the same task easily and more quickly. It all depends on how well a person can handle exercise and activity. Vigorous exercise only occurs when a person’s heart rate increases and he/she has difficulty in breathing.
