This term paper discusses issues related to wrestlers and steroids. According to WWE all the wrestlers are tested on regular basis to check the level of steroids in their body and Benoit’s results were within the normal specified limit.

Although at this point the toxicology reports are not yet in, however Benoit was taking prescribed steroids which all of the professional wrestlers take. According to the supporters of WWE, WWE organizes and holds different events in professional wrestling and the wrestlers do take the steroids for building muscles and getting additional strength but this does not make the WWE morally responsible for the tragic event.  The wrestlers take the steroids under a prescribed plan and they do it not because they are forced to do it but because its part of the job. Secondly If Chris Benoit as an individual was not psychologically stable and in addition to the steroids he was a drug user and used steroids too consequently what he did was his own individual responsibility and WWE cannot be held accountable for these acts.

WWE though cannot completely deny the fact that the wrestlers are obliged to take these drugs to be successful in professional wrestling and according an ex-wife of a wrestler in the past ten years 60 wrestlers have died very young because of taking the steroids. And WWE is responsible for indirectly requiring the wrestlers to create bodies which are not only unnatural but lead to undesired behavior and consequences. Therefore the moral responsibility lies with the organization. The organization should be bound to stop all kinds of prescribed and other drug intake.
