This is an essay on world health. The failure to want to prevent, fight and improve health problems on a global scale is what will lead to the diminishing of the United State’s standing in the sphere of health and this would in turn jeopardize its economy, the nation’s health as well as the security of the country (The Institute of Medicine).

Global health is a term which refers to the phenomenon of health which exceeds national borders. The term global health would constitute of dilemmas and problems such as insect borne and infectious diseases which have the possibility of spreading from one country to another. Therefore, global health is something which needs to be addressed and looked at through joint efforts and action should be taken to bring this problem to an end. Solutions must be found by countries working together. Countries however are most focused on the other problems which pertain to the modern world today and therefore are neglectful of the problem of global health. Issues which countries and governments find to be more important are education, the environment and even the economy. A poll was conducted in 2008 amongst Canadians in order to find out what the most important issues was (National Post, The Dominion Institute).
